Our
Chronicles
by Christopher and Daniel
from December 30, 2006 to April 15,2007
December 30, 2006
Mommy and Daddy (and of course both of us) arrived at Morristown Memorial Hospital at 8am. Of course, we were excited as 10am approached because we were actually going to see mommy and daddy instead of just hearing daddy talk to us through mommy's belly.
Well as usual there was a delay and we did not get to see them until 12:05pm - most of you would consider that as no problem - what waiting 2 extra hours when we already were waiting 36 weeks, but let us tell you that after smelling each others feet for 36 weeks - 2 hours is a very very long time.
We were not the biggest or smallest babies born that day (Christopher 5 lbs. 0 oz - 18 inches long - head size 13 inches and Daniel 4 lbs. 10 oz - 17 inches long - head size 13 inches (is that a big or small head size - no one seems to know) and Daniel had a few problems - low blood sugar and jaundice, but over all we were in good shape.
Any way, that was the opinion of the doctors and nurses after they were done flipping, sticking , scrubbing us and in general making our 1st few moments very scary.
Moments later we were in the loving arms of our Mommy and Daddy who immediately started to hug and kiss us and welcomed us into the world.

A little while later we were taken to a special nursery so that we could be wash and get our body temperature up and have other tests done. This is where they found out that Daniel had low blood sugar - probably from not eating what ever they were trying to feed us. They decided they were going to move him to ICU later that afternoon just to make sure that everything was OK.
The nursery we were in, made it hard for visitors to see us but we could see them. Both our Fanwood and Westfield grandparents were there and all our aunts and uncles and our 1st cousin Madilyn from Arizona - we expect to learn a lot from her since she is already 6 months old - a woman of the world.
We also heard then talking about what they were going to do with/for us as we got older.
Uncle Scott is going to teach us to play sports  and let us go to his soccer camp - free - we think Dad already signed us up when he heard FREE
Uncle Gregory is going to teach us to keep 2 sets of books and also will be on call in case we need a lawyer.
Uncle Michael is going to get us free food when we need it from the Food Bank
Uncle David is going to cook for us and let us stay at the Biltmore Hotel in Arizona for FREE.
Aunt Jess and Aunt Charisse are just going to buy us presents and let us visit them in the summers.
And of course our cousin Madilyn is going to tell us how to get Mommy and Daddy to spoil us, unless our grandmas and grandpas do it 1st.
Well that's all for now. Daniel was just moved to ICU and I am being wheeled into some strange room  - wait I see Mommy and Daddy in the room with the biggest SMILES anyone has ever had.
Hi Everyone. Thanks for stopping by our new website. We are going to try to keep you up to date on significant happenings in our lives - like the 1st time we go for a ride, see the doctor, etc .................
       So lets get started,
since we are already behind.
January 3, 2007
Well we finally made it home and to our surprise, there was a Big Stork (it may have been BIG BIRD), balloons and cupcakes waiting for us. Our room was ready and it looks great with a crib each - however it will be a while before both of us can't fit in one crib.
By the way whatever happened to those cupcakes Daddy!
January 4, 2007
Mommy and Daddy surprised us by taking us for a ride in the car - that was fun - until the surprise turned out to be a visit to our new Pediatrician, Dr Jani. The visit was not bad - naked in front of another women - is that good or bad
Any way, the "doc" said everything looked pretty good, except Daniel still has a touch of jaundice and the "doc" wants to see us again on Saturday - why "US", why not "Daniel", he is the one with the jaundice. We'll probably be naked again - there must be a law or something
January 11, 2007
We had just finished eating and Christopher was in the crib and I was just hanging out with Mom and Dad, when Grandpa showed up -  again. Since Christopher was sleeping I got to be held by Grandpa again - Oh that sweet smell of Grandpa - not as nice as Mommy but certainly better than Daddy before he showers. Christopher does not know what he is missing - spoke to soon - now I am in the crib and Grandpa is holding Christopher. It may be the 1st time since we left the hospital.
December 31, 2006
Our 1st New Year's Eve Party. Of course Daniel was still in the ICU unit, but Mommy, Daddy and I were allowed to visit him. They had apple cider - not sure whether it was the so called "hard" stuff - and cookies. We sang songs and brought in the New Year with each other and the other babies and their parents who were in ICU. We are sure Mommy and Daddy will never forget this New Year's Eve.
January 1, 2007
Ah, the 1st day of the New Year and Daniel is out of ICU. Mommy, Daddy and the 2 of us are just hanging out in Mommy's room waiting to see who is coming to visit. As you probably figured out, most of these reports so far are by me - Christopher, because Daniel is trying to get over being a human pin cushion in ICU. But he plans are starting to add his own thoughts in the near future.
January 2, 2007
Daniel here, Christopher and I are just hanging out with Mommy, Daddy and Grandma, trying to put on a few ounces so that we can go home tomorow.
January 5, 2007
Mommy and Daddy surprised us by taking us for another ride in the car and this time it really was a good surprise since we went to Grandma and Grandpa house in Fanwood. And can you believe it, we were there for another party - Grandpa's 60th birthday. You know you adults certainly party a lot - Christopher and I could get use to this type of life very quickly - sleep - drink - "PARTY"!

We are on the way to see the doctor again - our 3 week check up. When we left the condo we saw our 1st snow, pretty nice and cold. We are both doing good - hopefully the doc agrees. Where back. The doctor said we are doing Great - I weight 5 pounds, 2 ounces and 19 inches long. Christopher is 5 pounds, 1 ounce and 18 1/2 inches long and he thought he was going to be the biggest because he was born 1st. Well time to eat and sleep - will update in a few days - should be interesting, the Woburn, MA relatives are coming for a visit -  Aunt Jess and PRESENTS! and Uncle Gregory.
January 20, 2007
Some weekend. We will probably need the week to recuperate. Started Saturday with another road trip. This time to Westfield where Mommy and Daddy  dropped us off at Grandma and Grandpa's so they could go and pick up our "new" auto. Grandma and Grandpa were waiting for us and Daddy carried us in the house in our car seats with lots of blankets and our warm hats on. Daddy asked Grandma and Grandpa if they could tell who was who - hard to tell when all you see are 2 eyes, a nose and lips staring out from underneath all the blankets. Grandma guessed wrong and Grandpa waited until Daddy took our hats off and then could tell immediately who was who.

Mommy and Daddy left, and it was quite for a short time while diapers were changed,  bottles prepared and feeding began. Then there were  visitors "galore"
1st came Uncle Scott who said hello and asked how we were doing - then disappeared - something to do with computers, basketball and "betting"
Then came , Laura and Chris Brucia - we think Laura came to see us (she had a present) and Chris came to see Daddy - no present. Laura has been "dying" to hold us before we were even born - she certainly looked happy and comfortable holding us.
Then the Woburn relatives showed up and Aunt Jess was able to hold the real things for the 1st time - "US" - oh she also had a present. Of course Uncle Greg was with her (did he have a present - not sure) and surprising he also wanted to hold us.
Grandma, thought it would be nice for Mr and Mrs Brucia (Alice and George - Laura and Chris's parents - Catherine, the other sister was not home) to also come over to see us. Funny things was that the conversation seemed to indicate that Mr and Mrs Brucia were sitting in their car ( reading the Mobile Travel Guide) waiting for the call.
Finally, Mommy and Daddy came back with our new bigger car - to tell you the truth that Jetta we got rid of was certainly small.

Sunday came early and we were ready for a nice day of eating, sleeping and just hanging out at home. SURPRISE - we are on the move again. Back to Grandma and Grandpa's in Westfield to see Great Aunt Maureen and Great Uncle Charlie who came all the way from Brooklyn to see us.  We were told by Daddy to try to behave ourselves since this was the opportunity to get on the "invite list" for summer visits to Long Island for BBQs and Rounds of GOLF.
February 2, 2007
Well folks we celebrated our 1st month birthday on Tuesday ( Grandpa Murphy - Pop-E went for a colonastrophy to celebrate) and today we got to visit the Doc again with Mommy and Grandma. Not only did the Doc have us naked again but she stuck both of us with a needle to give us a Hepatitis B shot -  wonder what that is for! Anyway according to the Doc, Christopher weights in at 6 pounds 9 ounces and I beat him again, 6 pounds 13 ounces - isn't there a saying    " the 1st shall be big, but the last shall be bigger".
January 25, 2007
Well we finally recovered from last weekend and Mommy is packing us up for another road trip. We can hear the wind blowing and only hope Mommy has the car warmed up. We are going to Grandma and Grandpa's in Fanwood so Mommy can get a few extra "winks". When we arrived,  we could hear them talking about it beening so cold out that maybe this should be our 1st sleep over. Mommy thnks that is a good idea and then her and Daddy could go out for a quite dinner together - not that we are not quite at dinner time.
Mommy and Daddy went to the Sun Taven (they were going to go to Charlie Brown's, where they 1st met, but that had burned down the day before - could be an Omen, bad luck or just Arson. Anyway we expected them to come back to Grandma and Grandpa's but only Mommy showed up. Daddy headed back to the condo to get a good night's sleep since he was so tired because he went back to work on the 22nd.
February 3, 2007
Were off again, this time to Westfield to see the our Grandparents and have some lunch - big deal, all we get is the same formula or some prune juice because Daniel has a "going" problem - so we both get the juice - this must be a twins thing. Mommy went to Target to get us some "great" tasting formula and Mr and Mrs Nienburg (Mary Ann and Gordon) came over to see us.  Grandma and Daddy took turns checking
Christopher's diaper but he never went. I on the other hand had grandpa hold me so they could not get to me. Mommy came home and started to feed Christopher and Grandma was feeding me when the 2 diaper checkers started on me which gave Christopher a chance to get to Grandpa. We left about 6:30 and "boy" was it cold out side - we froze our bottoms off.
February 4, 2007
Ah, Super Bowl Sunday - Our 1st - Wings and Beer - all you need - maybe next year we will get to taste something other then formula and prune juice. We can't decide on whether to root for the "DA BEARS" or the "DA Horsies" ! but if we were betters we would put Daddy's money on "DA Horsies"

Traveling again, this time a 2 stop trip and a sleep over. We went to Grandma and Pop-E's in Westfield for dinner, since they were going to watch us while Mommy and Daddy went to a 7pm meeting at St Helen's to learn about our christening scheduled for April 15th - no one will be able to forget that date. Daniel ate at  4:30 and I was feed at 5:30 and normally we then play for a little while and then take a nap until it is time to eat again - GREAT LIFE.
SURPRISE! we know about these arrangements for weeks - Mommy and Daddy forget sometimes that we hear everything - and we decided not to nap and see if we could get Grandma and Pop-E to feed us earlier and give us a little extra. Needless to say we tried our best - sad looks, pretend gas attacks, begging, pleading, a few cries and one lord screen by Daniel but they did not crumble. Finally at 8:10, Daniel make one last effort and proceeded to try to suck on everything he could get his month on - it worked - 5 minutes later he was being feed. Of course I still had to wait another hour, but I have more patience then Daniel and I am able to remain civilized at all times.

February 8, 2007
Hello everyone. It been a few days since we had anything to say. We have been taking it easy, putting on the ounces and keeping Mommy and Daddy awake. At my last checkup the Doc heard a small heart mummer and decided that she would "err" on the side of caution and have Mommy and Daddy take me to see a pediatric cardiologist in St Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick. While Grandma watched Daniel at the condo, the 3 of us set out for St Peter's. I am happy to report that the visit went very well and everything is fine and the mummer is insignificant.  It was great news, and Mommy and Daddy breath a sigh of relief - as well as our grandparents, aunts and uncles."

February 23, 2007
We were in the car on the way home when Christopher thought about how we could play a joke on Mommy by both of us wanting to be feed at the same time when we got home. Usually Christopher is content to wait while I am feed, but we wanted to see what would happen if Mommy had to feed both of us at the same time. Well, we put the plan into action and both started being fussy and crying and Mommy did not know who to feed 1st. Finally, she said that Grandma and Pop-E would be at the condo soon and if we did not "stop the plan" she would not let them hold us - COULD SHE DO THAT? COULD WE TAKE THE CHANCE THAT SHE COULD NOT? - NO, WE COULD NOT! We both stopped crying immediately and became perfect "angels" and Christopher waited his turn to be feed because I can't wait once I get those hunger cravings.
Grandma and Pop-E arrived and since Christopher was playing  in the crib and Mommy was holding me, Pop-E  took me 1st. Before long it was time to eat again and Pop-E feed me while sitting in the glider - he seemed to love that glider - maybe Christopher and I will buy him one for Christmas. Anyway I had ate enough and fell asleep about 8pm.
February 21, 2007
Hi, Daniel here. I am on my way to St Peter's Hospital with Mommy, Grandma and Christopher. However, this visit is for me not Christopher. It appears that if you are born up side down - commonly known as BREACHED - you may have hip problems, possibly caused by the OBGYN  pulling you into the world by your feet. Any way, I had an MRI and everything is A-OK. Christopher and I hope we have made our last trip to St Peter's.
February 22, 2007
Traveling again, this time to Grandma and Grandpa's in Fanwood for another birthday celebration and sleep over. Grandma's birthday was yesterday, but we are celebrating it today. We think she is 39. However we have been learning about numbers because Daddy is always listening to the the stock market or sports channels. Anyway, we did some quick arithmetic and figured out that Grandma was 9 years old when she had Mommy. Is that possible? Must be! Grandmas and Mommies never tell "stories"  not even "little white" ones. As usual a good time was had by all, especially with the smell of Grandpa's cooking - we can't wait to try some of it and stop eating this formula and prune juice - that's right - we still have "going" problems.

Well we just returned from our 2 month checkup and boy was it "HECK". Talk about being used as a "pin" cushion. Each of us got 4 shots and some liquid to drink that was worst them prune juice. Mommy and Grandma had a hard time watching this "child abuse" in the name of medicine but we did not hear any yelling to stop the "torture".
For those of you who are into this stuff the shots were
1. DTaP/DT
2. Polio
3. HIB/HAEMOPHILUS B
4. PCV 7
and the liquid was Rotoleg
What are all these for? Does anyone know? Could they be Placebos?
The Doc said that Christopher was 21 1/2 inches and I was 21 1/4 inches - the Doc must have trouble reading a ruler - anyone can see I am taller. The BIG WEIGH IN had Christopher at 8 pounds 7 ounces and of course I beat him again - at 8 pounds 14 ounces  (Daniel) - this is getting too easy. I just keep widening the gap - is that good or bad? Possible Diet - Christopher is that you talking about a diet - I am only 63 days old - Someone call DYFS!
March 4, 2007
Well today did not start on a good note since we found out that Daddy and a nail clipper do not go together. Mommy was holding Daniel and Daddy was trying to cut his nails when all of a sudden there was blood everywhere. Instead of cutting Daniel's nail Daddy cut Daniel's figure - obviously Daddy either needs new glasses or can't tell the difference between a finger and a nail.  I was screaming and Mommy and Daddy thought it was because I was hungry when In fact I was screaming "call 911". Once the bleeding stop, I already was sitting on my hands just in case Daddy still had the clipper, but Mommy saved us by saying "NEVER AGAIN".
March 5, 2007
Christopher and I were talking last night and this morning about what Pop-E  had done yesterday. I did not think it was a big deal but Christopher was still a little shaken. The door bell ran and guess who it was - of course Pop-E. He was using the excuse of picking up Mommy and Daddy's camera to down load some pictures on his computer. But we both knew why he was there. Christopher was on the love seat with Grammy and I was on the couch with Mommy.  Grammy went in the other room because she was talking on the phone and Pop-E went over to Christopher and whispered something in his ear. Christopher smiled and I knew everything would be  OK. I also knew that I was never, never going to get any of Christopher food, drink, or whatever from Pop-E ever again.

We are at Grammy and PopPop's house right now because Daddy is at some "Bowling Event" - he says it is a company business meeting -  ha, ha - sounds fishy to us.
He will not be home until late and Mommy thought he need some quite time before he leaves for the Dominican Republic on Friday - QUITE TIME - he is going to an island with warm weather while we freeze our butts off in NJ.
We are going to be here (in case anyone wants to call us) until Monday when Daddy gets home from the DR.
March 8, 2007
It's been pretty quite today other then our crying when hungry. Daddy was heading home after work to pack for his trip to the Dominican Republic for Lee's wedding and stopping over to see us after getting a hair cut - nothing like waiting for the last minute. Any way he finally arrived, gave us hugs and kisses, feed us and then left for Grandma and Pop-E's at about 9:30pm.
Now here is where it gets interesting - at least as told to us by Pop-E. When Daddy got to their house he dragged in the biggest suitcase Grandma and Pop-E had ever seen. Pop-E's 1st words were - you are going to an island for 3 days what could you possibly have in there - unless you are sneaking your wife and twins on the plane. Any way, Daddy opened the suitcase - and of course we were not in it - but Daddy had about 20 tee shirts, all with logos of one kind or another, (Daddy never heard of tee-shirt without a logo), 4 pairs of shoes, 5 pairs of shorts, enough underwear for the whole wedding party as well as the clothes he was going to wear at the wedding - slacks, white shirt and flip-flops. Pop-E and Grandma wanted to know if these were all the clothes he owned and was he planning on coming back.  They told Daddy that they had a better suitcase for him and that he only need a 1/5 of the things he had. He agreed, repacked, ate something then hit the sack for a 3:30am wake up call.
March 10, 2007
Daddy is still in the DR - he is do back on Monday. Mommy took us for a walk in out twin stroller because the weather was do nice.
Mommy then told us that we were going with Grammy and PopPop to Kathy Renga house for our 1st St Patrick's Party (even thought the official date is the 17th, we just assumed that some people can't wait to celebrate this special day). We heard that there was going to be corn beef, cabbage, green beer, green bagels, rye bread and for us, green prune juice
Mommy  dressed us in our matching St Patrick outfits. However, you can tell from the picture that the outfits do not match. That is because Daniel decided that he was not wearing an outfit with a big SHAMROCK and proceeded to wet his outfit. Mommy had to change him and put on the outfit he really wanted to wear. Who do you think looks the most IRISH?  Had a great time and can't wait until the 17th and Daddy does something special with us.
March 12, 2007
Here we are with Mommy, just hanging out, waiting for Daddy to come home with out presents from the DR. Daddy and Pop-E finally got home about 2:30 (Pop-E picked Daddy up at the airport) and Daddy almost gave both of us burn marks when he started to hug and kiss us. He was so RED (and hot) he would make a Native Americans look pale. Pop-E said that even though he was wearing his sun glasses went he drove up to the terminal to get Daddy, his eyes still hurt from the glow from Daddy's arms - guess Daddy did not remember to stay out of the sun or else use #50 sun block lotion.
March 15, 2007
Guess what time of year it is - that's right - MARCH MADNESS  and Daddy took off today and tomorrow to watch 32 hours of basketball. 16 Games on the 15th and 16th, then 8 games on 17th and 18th. Daddy told us that if we were good on Thursday and Friday, while he watched the games, he would have a special surprise for us on St Patrick's Day. And we are always good when surprises are promised.
March 17, 2007
Well the big day finally arrived, that's right, St Patrick's' Day, and Daniel and I could not wait to find out what Daddy had planned as the surprise.  Mommy finally told us that was were going to see our new friend, Megan ( she is only 2 and 1/2 weeks old) in Hoboken, where we heard they really know how to celebrate St Patrick's Day. Guess what, Daddy decided that more basketball was the way to celebrate - we do not know which is worst watching all day basketball or the stock report. And this was after we were good for 2 whole days - where is the justice Well, that was our St Pat's celebration - sitting at home watching guys run up and down the floor in shorts and tattoos - well at least we got to one St Patrick's Day party.
April 13, 2007
Hi everyone. It's been a while, but we have been taken it easy for the last few weeks -  you know giving things up for lent and getting ready for Easter and our Christening. We spend Easter at Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Stach's new house at the NJ shore. Everyone was having a good time until Daniel decided to go into a screaming triad. What caused it? Who knows? It could have been the many new faces, the braking of waves on the beach or the smell of ocean air - maybe some day he will tell me, but for now he is keeping silent.
April 14, 2007
Well, we are off to Grandma and Pop-E's house for their 1st BBQ of the year and the official opening of the new deck and the new grill. Anyway, when we arrived, Uncle Scott and Uncle Greg were there (Aunt Jess was visiting her friend in Wayne) and Uncle Greg was going to get her later in the afternoon. All the talk was about Aunt Jess and Uncle Greg having a baby in November which means that Grandma and Pop-E are going to become Grandparents again - and we will have a new cousin, which means COMPETITION - especially if it is a GIRL!
April 15, 2007
We were up early because we were going back to Grandma and Pop-E's house to get ready for our Christening since St Helen's is just a few blocks from where they live.
You know Mommy and Daddy recently brought a Van, well based on the weather outside, they should have brought an "ARK". Talk about rain - it was like a Monsoon!. Daniel and I thought we were transported over night  to Southeast Asia -  the weather was that bad. Anyway we made it to Grandma and Pop-E's house with out getting to wet, we can't say the same for Mommy and Daddy - the expression "Like Drown Rats" came to mind.
We just hung around, with Aunt Jess and Uncle Greg practicing for their baby by holding Daniel since I was sleeping because of the lax of it the night before. Since the Christening was not until 2:45. we were all praying and hoping that the rain would stop before we had to leave for the church.
At about 2pm, the front door opened and in came Grammy and PopPop - and before we knew it - that's right - we were in DRESSES. Supposedly, this is a family tradition, at least on Daddy's side of the family were the dress Christopher was wearing was a "HAND-ME-DOWN" from our cousin Maria, who just happens to be Daddy's Godmother. This dress was worn at the Christenings of Maria, Patrice, Christopher, Uncle Scott, Uncle Greg, Daddy, Caroline, and Colby. Not to mention numerous babies on Great Uncle Dom's side of the family. T he dress Daniel had on was a new one from Grammy and PopPop, so a few tradition is now started of passing it on from on baby to another, from one generation to another.
In addition to the dresses, Grammy made us each a white blanket and Grandma made us each a hat from new handkerchiefs, which we can give our future wives as something old - another tradition.
The Christening went well, what with all the rain, what was a few more ounces on our head. However, some of the relatives had a hard time getting there because the 9 inches of rain had highways and roads closed.
However, as soon as Daniel got into the stroller he started to cry. No matter what Pop-E said or try to do he would not stop. Finally, Daniel paused a little to tell me that when he woke up he hear Mommy and Grandma talking about us wearing dresses for the Christening - Dresses, I could not believe it. Is that why they got me out of the house. I said you must be mistaken. Why would they do that to us. Daniel would not change his mind and kept repeating WE ARE BOYS, WE DO NOT WEAR DRESSES. We were trying to get Pop-E to listen to us but he did not understand why Daniel was crying.

Mommy then called Pop-E to say it was time for us to be feed and that Aunt Jess was on her way. Uncle Scott and Daddy had the new grill going and the smell of BBQ was everywhere. After we all eat Mommy and Grandma tried on these long sweaters that we were going to wear if the weather was cold on Sunday. I said to Daniel, See Long Sweaters not Dresses. Daniel's response was "I HEARD, WHAT I HEARD. Pretty soon we were on our way home to get a good night sleep for our big day. But I knew that sleep you not come easy.
Daniel was sleeping and Mommy and Grandma was talking about the Christening the next day and what we were going to be wearing. But before I could hear the full story, Mommy asked Pop-E if he wanted to take me our for a walk in the stroller. Of course Pop-E said yes and we were off and running.  It was fun in the stroller and I got to see the trees, leaves, birds, squirrels and other things. Pop-E would push me up the street and then pull me backwards so the sun did not get in my eyes - my Pop-E is always thinking. A little while later Mommy came to the door and ask if it was all right for Daniel to go with us. Since it is a 2 baby stroller there was no  problem as far as Pop-E and I were concerned.
The rest of the night was a bit hazy, with both Daniel and I sleeping in the cribs, but it appears that Mommy and Daddy have this new plan that when it is night time and we wake up to eat, they have all the lights out and do not talk so that we think we should be sleeping. So Daddy, Grandma and Pop-E sat in the living with the TV on MUTE and whispering quietly waiting for Daniel and me to wake up for out next feeding which should have been about 11:30 or 12 midnight.
However, to their surprise and ours, I did not wake up until 1:15am and Daniel woke up at 1:30am. Pop-E started to feed me (and broke the rule by also talking to me) while Grandma was going to feed Daniel but he needed his diaper and clothes changed since he was soaked. As she was changing him he started to scream because he has no patience when hunger pains strike. Mommy woke up because she thought Daddy was alone and needed help. She was surprised to see that Grandma and Pop-E was still there. Daddy grab the chance to say good night and hit the sack. Mommy feed Daniel - remember he is a fast eater - and put him in the Pack and Play, Grandma changed me and finished feeding me and I fell asleep and was also put in the Pack and Play - don't worry we have a double one. Grandma and Pop-E when home and we all slept until 7:30am. I think we all needed that good nights sleep since we had not had one in a long time - especially Mommy and Daddy.
"Hush Little Baby, Don't Say a Word,
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird.
If that mockingbird wont' sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring.
If that diamond ring turns brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass.
If that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat.
If that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull.
If that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover.
If that dog named Rover won't bark,
Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart.
If that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town."
After shopping, we went to Grandma and Pop-E's house for lunch. Grandma was holding me and Pop-E was reading Daniel a book he had brought. It had birds, dogs, horses, and more and it rhymed. Pop-E also read me the book later in the afternoon
After we all calmed down (surprisingly Daniel took it in stride since he only seems to be bothed by hunger pains), we went shopping with Mommy and Daddy for Daddy's Dominican Republic outfit - OH! you didn't hear that Daddy was going to his friend Lee's wedding in the DR (by himself)  from Friday to Monday- now isn't that nice - hopefully he will bring back some nice presents for the 3 of us.  While Daddy is away, we will be spending the time with Mommy at Grammy and PopPop's  house and we will have a good time as Grammy and PopPop spoil us. However the down side is constantly smelling all the good things PopPop cooks and not being able to have any of them. We wonder if he can do something to make the formula and prune juice taste better.
While grandma was getting the food ready Daddy and Uncle Scott were upstairs on the computers doing a fantasy baseball draft  when all of a sudden we learned a new word (@#$^&?) - Uncle Scott got so mad at the "slow" computer he was using that he screamed (and we thought we could scream - no contest) at the computer. Based on the look from Mommy and Grandma we both decided that it was a word we should forget.
The afternoon moved on and we both start yelling to be feed, Grandma was feeding Daniel and Pop-E was feeding me. As usually Daniel finished in no time at all, while I was just taking my time. With one ounce left in my bottle, I decided to try to take a quick "cat" nap just as Daniel started to scream his bloody head off. Grandma held him, Mommy held him, Daddy held him, but he continued to scream so much so that I never got a chance to nap. I was still being held by Pop-E who looked at me and smiled and said why not see if Daniel wants a little more to drink from Christopher's bottle, Christopher would not mind.
Isn't anything SACRED, before I had a chance to respond, the bottle was in Daniel's mouth and the ounce was gone in seconds. I was in shock, Pop-E had actually given away my food - even thought I have to admit, he was right and it is what Daniel needed, since he stopped crying immediately. How should I react, should I be mad, should I start crying, what to do that was the question? I finally decided to think  about it and come up with some ideas later on. A little while later we were on our way home and all I kept thinking was -
WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO DO????
Any way he is supposed to stop over tomorrow on the way to Grandma and Pop-E's. He is going to sleep there since he has to be the airport at 4am (for a 6am flight) and Pop-E volunteered to take him. Pop-E must have had a "major" senior moment when he volunteered for that. Pop-E stopped over to show Mommy the Christening Invitation he is working on and also of course, to see us. While he was there, Grammy took a picture of both, PopPop and Pop-E and the 2 of us (the 1st picture of the 4 of us together). Do you know who is holding who?
A few days later, we heard from Megan (through the BABY GRAPEVINE) that she was out celebrating St Patrick's Day, the old fashion way - with a pint of Guinness. Nice going Dad! Is Megan's Mommy and Daddy even IRISH? Well, this is it for now, we are going to find out when St. Stanislaw's Day is, maybe Mommy will have something better planned, then watching basketball!
Daniel and I were waiting to see what he brought us and guess what - we got "Zilch", Nada", "Zero"! - and before we could complain we were in our car seats heading home to the condo.

A few notes on the day: Our Christening was on April 15th - tax day - so we will never forget it. It is also our Great Aunt Maureen's birthday. It was the most rain in a day in NJ since - only God knows that and it was the same type of weather the day Daddy graduated from Fairfield and when Mommy and Daddy got engaged. We guess the expression "RAIN IS GOOD LUCK" is very true. We will like to thank everyone for making this day very SPECIAL.
Aunt Jess, Uncle Greg, Daddy (holding Christopher), Mommy (holding Daniel), Father Larry, Uncle Michael, and Aunt Laura
The adults had lunch and we were feed put in the new "Pack and Play" Grandma and Grandpa had for us to sleep in - when we get older we will be able to play in it outside on the new deck - speaking of the new deck, Grandpa show us the "extra" foot that was added for the both of us and when the weather gets warmer we are going to make plaques with our name and birthdays and ??? and put them on the "foot" we own. Before we knew it, it was dinner time and we had a bottle again and the adults had penna vodka, chicken, salad, beer and wine. The good times lasted until about 11:30 when Daniel said I had enough - TAKE ME HOME.
Since Mommy had to go for a checkup the next day we were going to stay over night at Grandma and Grandpa's in Fanwood - I think we have to come up with a different game plan to try on them.
Since Daniel was sleeping, I had to keep track of things, Pop-E and Uncle Scott went out to get Pizza and a little while later the door bell rang. I thought it was Pop-E and Uncle Scott coming back with the pizza, but it was 2 strangers that I had not seem or heard before. Before you could say "HELLO" , the female was holding me. I finally realized that it was Grandma and Pop-E friends, Susan and Paul. Pop-E and Uncle Scott came back with the Pizza - they must have made it themselves since it took so long to get - and Susan thought that I had fallen asleep and she put me in the crib.
Since there were so many people to take care of us, Mommy took the opportunity to get some needed shut-eye and hit the bed for some ZZZZZZs.
When I heard Pop-E voice I started my act so he would pick me up - got him again - but he pulled a fast one on me and held me while he sat in the glider. Before I knew it I was sleeping and back in the crib about 8:30
Susan and Paul left, - Paul (just like Uncle Charlie) did not want to hold me or Daniel because we were to small - SMALL, we could be tipping the scale at over 7 pounds.  Then Uncle Scott went home and Grandma, Daddy and Pop-E were talking and watching TV when all a sudden it dawn on me that I had been duped and started to be fidgety. Since they did not want me to wake Daniel up, Pop-E pick me up and we sat on the couch together until I fell asleep again and he put me back in the crib.
Time to go for now, but we will have more soon about Dad's trip to the DR, our 1st St Patrick's party and more. Almost forgot, this is what our Birth Announcment looked like.
His flight was at 6am on USA3000 #20 from Newark, NJ to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The funny thing is that when I woke up the next morning, Christopher told me that he heard the plane fly over and could hear Daddy talking to his friend Brock on the plane - That Christopher certainly has some imagination or ????
Well, Sunday is our Christening at St Helen's and Aunt Jess and Uncle Greg are coming down - they are always good for a few laughs. They are going to be Christopher's godparents and Aunt Laura (Mommy and Daddy's Matron of Honor) and Uncle Michael and going to my (Daniel) godparents. We are sure that there will be a lot to report on next week about this weekend and plenty of new pictures. Stay Tuned!
After the Christening, Mommy and Daddy has a party for us in the Chimney Rock Inn in Gillette. The place was nice, Grammy said grace, the food was good and everyone had a good time passing us around - maybe Pop-E was right,  that we should had a $5 holding fee (like a $1 dance at a wedding) - we would have made a few bucks.
When the party was over and all the relatives had left, Grandma and Grammy feed us while Daddy, PopPop, Pop-E and Uncle Scott put all the food and gifts in the cars in the rain - yes it was still raining.
